Welcome to Nine Hazels
Nine Hazels is a hands-on learning experience for children aged 7-10. Sessions vary week to week and include a mix of drama, movement and storytelling, structured games and team-building challenges, as well as exciting practical science and engineering activities.
Everyone learns differently. Children are free to engage with activities in a way that feels rights for them, which helps create a relaxed supportive environment where they feel safe, valued and confident to grow. Alongside our group activities, we provide a range of self-guided learning stations where children can follow their own interests, investigate new ideas and learn at their own pace.
Our Philosophy
At Nine Hazels, we believe every child is naturally curious and can flourish given the right environment. Our aim is to nurture that curiosity by creating a welcoming and inspiring place, to explore and discover together.
We provide a learning environment in which children can take responsibility for their own learning, think for themselves and learn practical skills. Our courses are specifically designed to build confidence, resilience and connection and most of all, to have fun doing it.
Specifically, we guide the students through:

Flexible participation because every child is different.
We believe learning environments should celebrate those differences, not try to change them. Ideally we want our students to develop an understanding of how they learn so that they can begin to implement this independently.
We keep class sizes small to give children as much attention as possible.
